Biography

My aspirations to become a physician, to care for patients of all ages with a variety of medical illnesses, began in middle school. After completing my undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary, I was able to fulfill my dream by earning my medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University in 1992. I went on to complete my family practice internship and residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA.

Since finishing residency in 1995, I have had the privilege of building lasting relationships with patients in Powhatan County. I enjoy helping patients obtain their optimal health and wellness by collaboration, encouragement and exploring best treatment options available.

I have served as an Associate Clinical Professor of family practice at the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University, teaching medical students since 1995.
